Hello everybody! Here's for my presentation:

Callsign: Wiseco

Age: 40

Country: Canada, Quebec

Internet connection: fiber 15 mbps dl / 5 mbps ul

Time zone: -5 gmt

Availability: depending on the job and the girlfriend, usually at least 1 evening per week but I usually have my fridays off and some weekends day.

Approximate number of flight hours already spent on DCS: I would say, on Huey, 15h and the SA342, approx. 5h. I know its not alot but I was mostly on X-Plane but the lack of mission allways bring me back to DCS. None for the other helos.

Knowledge with ME: None

Preferred chopper: The huey for sure! On X-Plane, I would say the Bell 407 for the natural grip on the machine without SAS. The 429 for the long run.

My expectations: To have different missions others than to only have to drop troops and shoot 4 missiles. Ive been playing online a bit and it seems its the only thing I turn to do, probably because I dont know nothing else... anyway, I would like to be usefull in missions and to be part of doing something by being guided or by having tasks to do. I dont mind to be the crate rigger or to have troops to drop but I want tasks! Everyone have to start at the bottom of the ladder. You put the wrong guy with the wrong task for him to start with and youre gonna be dragging ball and chain. I wanna have fun! But I don't want to be cumbersome for sure!

More about me: It was my dream as long as I can remember to be a helicopter pilot. But long story short, I took over my father plastic molding company, we have close it in 2014 and since, Ive been around CNC machining machine. Im now a freelancer? CNC machining and injection-blow molding process technical consultant. I started to be on my own in october and things are going very well!

I always wanted to know everything about helicopters and getting in simulation was a revelation. I understood pretty fast about what was going on and turns out it took me not too long to be able to be in control.

Thank you for giving me the chance to try out!

Welcome Wiseco! Thanks for the great write up.

Jump on our Discord if you haven't yet too.

First thing first we will set up an introduction flight with you. It can be any time that you and an Unit trainer or Instructor pilot are free.

It gives you a good chance to see what we do, how we do and make up your mind if it is for you.
It also gives us a good chance to see where you are with your skills and what if anything you need to work on.
Very informal just a flight around the base and maybe a flight out to a ship and back. A chance to chat and get to know each other.

Once you decide you like what you see, you will be asked to join as a trainee. You will have access to all the documents and information to help you advance and learn the helicopters you fly.

The readiness level progression starts at RL3 and moves to RL1. We ask you at least attend twice a month to stay current on the training.
The more you are here and active the more you will learn and advance.

There are many knowledgeable pilots to help you along the way, any questions you have feel free to ask.

So let's start the first step and get a good time to do an introduction flight.

With BSD having both US and EU time zone flights even if you work odd hours you will be able to catch one flight or another.

    Welcome to the BSD.
