DCS Mission Editor:  Basic, but can rapidly learn if required  preferred chopper: KA-50

Expectations w.r.t BSD:  Wish to find a group of pilots I can fly with on a regular and flexible schedule with a focus on realistic employment of rotary wing assets and weapon systems.   Have bounced around a few groups, but they end up shifting focus to fixed-wing or members drift away.

I have spent most of the last 2 years on a Su-27 kick, but with the recent shenanigans WRT BVR missile dynamics, am looking to get back to my roots and tear up some rotors.

On a personal note, I am just off a 3-week FTX in Camp Bullis, and would really like to find a chill group of guys who take their aviation seriously to fly with this weekend. My weekly availability is unpredictable, especially with this being a red-cycle month (lots of BS taskings) for my BN, but I'm always up for a flight after work, provided I have the emotional reserves to focus up and be of use after a day with the "green weenie".

EDIT: this weekend starts today for me, BN has a day off for personal recovery tomorrow.

edit 2, why the hell does this thing keep dropping format??

EDIT 3: piss on it, tried two different browsers and both are doing, problem is on the other end.

Hello Shurugal and thank you for this great presentation.

I do hope we will be able to meet your expectations. Well, at least there is no room here for fixed-wing so it should be alright on this side. As you can see, we are just getting started and we do have already some IRL soldiers who joined with have some similar constraints than yours. I could see most of the pilots here so far either having a pretty good experience and knowledge of DCS, or pilots who are really eager to go serious about it. And this is what BSD is all about after all, coop missions in a mature and as realistic as possible way (as long as it stays fun for everyone though).

I say that all the time, but it is important for everyone to be able to propose missions from time to time. No missions to fly→ end of BSD and yes, we all have a busy professional and family life outside DCS.

I have to admit I didn't understand your personal note part, but I am not in the military so I am missing all the acronyms and more.

Don't bother about the edit issue. Absolutely everybody had the same one (except me, but that's the admin privilege I guess). I am talking with the dev of this forum to understand what's going on with you guys. So yes, it is definitively on my side.

There's an intro flight tomorrow although it is not exactly your time (9:00pm EST). But if you can make it, it would be great. Otherwise, I promised Isegrim to set up a mission/intro flight during a weekend, so I have to do that before the end of next week.

To put it into easy terms for others...he was on a field training exercise for 3 weeks (probably in tents eating MRES (pre-packed meals, just heat and eat), if anything like mine, on 16 hour duty cycles. Lots of stupid silly (bullshit) takings in the unit...ie: sweep the desert Sands (been there done that).

Crosser hit that nail on the head.

Anyway, 2100 Eastern is fine by me, I got today off for recovery.  TS and DCS server details?
