    Welcome Randy!

Join our discord if you haven't yet.

First thing first we will set up an introduction flight with you. It can be any time that you and an Unit trainer or Instructor pilot are free.

It gives you a good chance to see what we do, how we do and make up your mind if it is for you.
It also gives us a good chance to see where you are with your skills and what if anything you need to work on.
Very informal just a flight around the base and maybe a flight out to a ship and back. A chance to chat and get to know each other.

Once you decide you like what you see, you will be asked to join as a trainee. You will have access to all the documents and information to help you advance and learn the helicopters you fly.

The readiness level progression starts at RL3 and moves to RL1. We ask you at least attend once a month to stay current on the training.
The more you are here and active the more you will learn and advance.

There are many knowledgeable pilots to help you along the way, any questions you have feel free to ask.

So let's start the first step and get a good time to do an introduction flight.

With BSD having both US and EU time zone flights even if you work odd hours you will be able to catch one flight or another.

    Welcome to the BSD.

    Welcome to BSD, Randy!

Great to meet and fly with you on your intro flight this evening - glad you enjoyed it and got an insight into the limited Multi-crew functionality with the Gazelle!

You are now promoted to Private with trainee status.

You now have proper access to the forums and the BSD library.
    Our welcome guide is HERE
    BSD SOP is HERE
    Brevity is HERE
Our mods that you will need are HERE
Tutorial for the mods is HERE

For quicker access to our missions until you can read the SOP, here is a quick reference handbook.

Your training file has been built to make sure you log your flight time every time you fly with a BSD member. Use commas, not decimals. A flight in your logbook is 2,5 not 2.5. Also, check out the 1000 task's on the menu. HERE

We will start your RL training right away, feel free to join any Training mission you can.

That's what you will work on first. When you are ready to get checked off on a decent group of them, ask for an IP to fly with you and verify.

Your hours (defined as time flying a helicopter with one or more BSD pilots anywhere, anytime) are logged on the website under Pilots/Pilot logbook / military file, and the Platoon you pick, UH,OH or AH.

    Your platoon is EU/UH.

Welcome to the squadron! I look forward to flying with you soon again.

Remember our servers are 24/7 and you may use them anytime you wish.

Server 1 at this time is running a persistent campaign which is restricted to RL2 and RL1 as pilots but you could join as UH-1 crew with another RL2 or RL1.

You are highly proficient from what I saw today and I don't believe RL2 will take you long to reach.
