DCS experience:
...since 1999 when it was Flanker 2.0, then LOMAC later. Both more casually for the eyecandy because I was still a kid ;) Played all other modern mil flightsims (all Jane's games, EEAH/EECH) and after years of no helicopters I was thrilled to get my hands on Black Shark!
Consumed MattWag's 'developer notes' prior to release and put in hundreds of hours into single player since day 1, getting new content from pages like LOMAC Files. Few months ago on Steam Sale I upgraded to BS2 and have done most flights on public servers since, specifically looking for people in helicopters for cooperative employment. That should add another 100-150 flight hours by now. Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it ;)
Prior I spent most time in Falcon BMS (which I still adore), playing campaigns on public servers. It's very different but things like comm discretion, brevity, situational awareness (...) are universally useful. I make a good element lead, sometimes even a good flight lead .. recon, planning of route, targets and payload included.
Editing:
Since LOMAC and on different games like FreeSpace 1&2. I'm not into LUA coding but I can work with triggers, set up reasonable flightplans and get the AI to do their job (mostly). Not entirely familiar with all the new DCS features yet and never made a multiplayer mission.
Chopper of choice:
I just love the KA-50, don't own any others. Possible interest in other attack choppers later (AH-64C please?)
Expectations:
Your list on top of the About page sums it up pretty well.
Mainly I want to fly with more KA-50s, execute our mission gracefully, bring everybody back safe and have (serious) fun doing it. I'm fine with learning new things and teaching others alike, didn't earn my callsign for nothing ;)
So, if any of this sounds just remotely fine to you, feel free to tell me ASAP. I'm happy about catching a glimpse of your server name last night and finding my way here. Whatever it was you were flying, it looked like fun to me.
