Spring, 1997 (fictional)

For decades, Kurdish society has been fighting for independence and claiming rightful ownership to the territory of Kurdistan. Situated in the intersection of four countries, the fight has been rather difficult for the Kurds and borders have remain unchanged. In 1997, the Kurds have decided to give it their all. “We claim independence, or go down in history as the society that gave it their all against oppression.” Special Missions Group Black Shark Den has deployed to assist the Peshmerga (Kurdish militants) in fighting against Turkey in the Western half of the territory. Based at Sanliurfa airfield, the goal is to push Turkey out of Kurdistan and hold the line against Turkey.

Kurdish Spring is an ongoing mini-campaign being run for US evenings at BSD. The details of this particular mission will be determined closer to mission date when the turnout becomes more clear. You can expect the missions to be challenging, yet flexible and not punish you too much for crashing or losing your aircraft. You can expect them to be combat oriented and inclusive for all platoons. Mission parameters will be adjusted based on who shows up so turnout should not affect the mission too much.

Please indicate when registering if you'd like to volunteer for Flight Leader or AMC as these roles are required!!!
