hey there Patman and welcome to BSD, please read the sticky post from Bad CrC about the introduction post, would be good to learn something more about you like where you come from, your experience in Simulations, your favourite Aircraft and aprox Flight hours.

Once you've done so, we'll fly an introduction flight with you where you can represent your skill while we introduce our way of flying Helicopter in DCS to you. Then you can decide whether we are the right Community for you.

Looking forward to get to know you.

    regards, Memphis.

    Welcome Patman!

First thing first we will set up an introduction flight with you. It can be any time that you and an Unit trainer or Instructor pilot are free.

It gives you a good chance to see what we do, how we do and make up your mind if it is for you.
It also gives us a good chance to see where you are with your skills and what if anything you need to work on.
Very informal just a flight around the base and maybe a flight out to a ship and back. A chance to chat and get to know each other.

Once you decide you like what you see, you will be asked to join as a trainee. You will have access to all the documents and information to help you advance and learn the helicopters you fly.

The readiness level progression starts at RL3 and moves to RL1. We ask you at least attend twice a month to stay current on the training.
The more you are here and active the more you will learn and advance.

There are many knowledgeable pilots to help you along the way, any questions you have feel free to ask.

So let's start the first step and get a good time to do an introduction flight.

With BSD having both US and EU time zone flights even if you work odd hours you will be able to catch one flight or another.

    Welcome to the BSD.

Welcome Pitman was a good flight to-day you are now set up has a trainee  You are part of the EU group and Lateo is the trainer and Grinner is your platoon leader is Grinner (he is bogged down at present with the lock down in Spain) . Next step is to get your mods from the library you already have OvGME. Let me know when you have them and I can help you with the install. Again welcome to BSD

Patman, Welcome and thanks for attending your intro flight and that we’ve finally sorted out your DCS issues. As Rephil US OH Platoon Commander stated I’m the Instructor Pilot for the Observation Helicopter Platoon for Europe, so currently that includes or will include SA 342, OH-58 Kiowa and the MBB 105! Now, because of your time zone GMT + 1 that puts you in the European Company, we have Grinner who leads that Platoon within the Company and it comprises of some very capable rotary aviators! You’ve also been introduced already to Blackwolf the European Company Commander. We have an OH platoon on both sides of the Atlantic and we try to fly together time zone dependant. We will get you sorted with your mods  today and hopefully get you into a mission which is open to RL3, I’Il talk you through the qualifying scheme we have here at BSD and some suggested bedtime reading. Very much look forward to you joining my tutor scheme we can offer one-on-one training or something as a group within OH of other Helicopter roles and types folk. We are very fortunate we have IRL military pilots, IRL commercial pilots, IRL military aircrew, operations and engineering. We have a raft of IT engineer type people building amazing missions and pilot rigs. I hope you will enjoy your time here and please use my FB Gazelle Pilot page to share your experiences.
