New Application

Category: Recruiting Office 3 years ago

Callsign: Crosser

Age: 28

Connection type/speed: FIOS/50MBS+ Timezone: -5 GMT (EST)

Availability: Most nights 1700-2130 (varies based upon wife's schedule and food)

Flight Hours: KA-50 at-least 1000hr (lost track; owned since mid 2010 BS1 -->Upgraded); UH-1 approx 150; MI-8 approx 60 DCS

Mission Editor knowledge: Intermediate, can create missions w/triggers, not good with LUA Preferred Airframe: KA-50 followed by either Huey or Hip

Expectations: Fun and cohesiveness--not up-tight Personal blurp: Active military in a world wide mobility unit, there are times I get only 3 hours notice prior to real world tasking's. With that out of the way, I love helos, always have and probably always will. I've been eyeing up a PPL for rotorcraft. DCS is probably my #1 pastime whenever I've got the chance, I'm also proficient with other various fixed-wing craft but as I said previously I do enjoy the whirly birds the best. While I do not know everything regarding the KA-50, I do know a lot about it, including Datalink usage, custom waypoints (a bit rusty on that) and have also done FAC-A (Forward Air Control-Airborne) for A-10's from the Shark. I enjoy CSAR, troop trans and just flying around in either the Huey or Hip.

    Wow. Great presentation Crosser! Thanks for that. Looks like we are going to learn a lot from you!

    There's a meeting this coming Monday at 2100 EST if you are available. We will probably talk a lot and fly a little bit just for evaluation purpose. Let us know if this is OK. I will put a post in the Briefing room with the connection details.

    I should be good for Monday as of right now, earlier is usually better for me but timezones are a hassle haha.

    I am used to set flights at 2100 but this is certainly flexible for the next ones. Depending on the availability of the other pilots, 2000 or even 1900 are possible. And I won't be the only one anyway (I hope) to set up missions.

    Sounds good, hopefully we can get a bit earlier. I'm free "most" weekends too, so if anyone wants to just get together and fly for 10-15 minutes or however long that is fine by me. I ops checked the TS connection info also, so we're good on that.

    Sounds good. I might be available too during the weekends if family priorities allow.
